Overview

What is Pinterest: Pinterest is a visual discovery and social commerce platform used by operators, marketers, and e-commerce teams for product discovery, shopping ads, catalog management, and trend research.

How to integrate Pinterest with Datagrid

Datagrid connects to Pinterest through OAuth, then lets you choose the Pinterest datasets you want to sync and how often those syncs should run. The setup follows the same sequence as the sections below: connect your account, authorize access, configure sync settings, and review sync details.

Connect your account

  1. Log in to Datagrid.

  2. Search for the Pinterest integration in the integrations list.

  3. Click Connect and log in to your Pinterest account in the browser window that opens.

  4. After validation, select the data endpoints you want to import (for example, Campaign Analytics, Board Pins, or Catalogs Feeds).

  5. Choose an existing pipeline or create a new dataset from the dataset configuration page.

Authorize Pinterest

Datagrid uses OAuth 2.0 to connect with Pinterest. When you click Connect, Datagrid redirects you to Pinterest's authorization page. You approve access, and Datagrid receives an access token automatically. No client ID or secret entry is needed on the Datagrid side, and a single configuration can be reused across multiple datasets.

Configure sync settings

After Datagrid connects to Pinterest, configure how and when data should run through your pipeline.

  1. To schedule recurring syncs, open the overflow menu (...) on your pipeline, select Edit, hover the Schedule box, and select Schedule.

  2. Set your preferred frequency. All schedule times display in UTC, with your local timezone shown for reference.

  3. Press Update to save.

Datagrid then pulls Pinterest data on the schedule you set.

Review data sync details

These settings define how the Pinterest integration behaves inside Datagrid:

  • Direction: Read-only. Datagrid pulls data from Pinterest and does not write back.

  • Endpoints: Accounts, Accounts Analytics, User Account Analytics, Ads, Analytics, Campaigns, Campaign Analytics, Board Pins, Board Sections, Catalogs, Catalogs Feeds, Catalogs Product Groups, Audiences, Conversion Tags, Customer Lists, Keywords, and additional reporting and advertising endpoints.

  • Frequency: Configurable via the pipeline schedule editor (UTC-based).

  • Reusability: A single Pinterest configuration works across multiple Datagrid datasets and pipelines.

Once the integration is configured, Datagrid keeps Pinterest data moving through the reporting workflow you already run.

Why use Pinterest with Datagrid

Datagrid gives operators running repeatable reporting and marketing workflows a structured way to extract Pinterest data and route it into systems where teams already work. Here's why you need to integrate Pinterest with Datagrid:

  • Automated analytics extraction: Datagrid pulls pin-level impressions, clicks, saves, engagement rates, and campaign performance data on a schedule, replacing manual CSV exports from Pinterest's dashboard.

  • Cross-platform marketing attribution: Datagrid combines Pinterest ad data with other analytics and advertising sources in a single pipeline, building unified multi-channel views without custom engineering.

  • Catalog health monitoring: Datagrid ingests catalog feed statuses, product group data, and feed error states, so AI agents flag disapproved products or feed validation failures automatically.

  • Autonomous reporting pipelines: Datagrid pulls scheduled data from Pinterest endpoints and routes results to BI tools, data warehouses, or spreadsheet destinations for stakeholder reporting, with zero manual intervention.

What you can build with Pinterest Datagrid integration

Pinterest data becomes more useful when Datagrid pulls it into repeatable workflows instead of leaving it in manual exports and isolated dashboards. The examples below show how operators turn ad, catalog, board, and audience data into recurring reporting and monitoring workflows:

  • Cross-channel campaign performance dashboard: Pull Pinterest Campaign Analytics, Ad Group Analytics, and Ad Analytics into Datagrid on a daily schedule.

  • Product catalog sync monitor: Ingest data from the Catalogs Feeds and Catalogs Product Groups endpoints.

  • Pin content performance analyzer: Schedule pulls from Board Pins, Accounts Analytics, and Keyword Report endpoints.

  • Audience segment enrichment pipeline: Extract data from Audiences, Customer Lists, and Advertiser Targeting Report endpoints.

Frequently asked questions

What authentication method does the Datagrid Pinterest integration use?

Datagrid connects to Pinterest via OAuth 2.0. When you set up the integration, Datagrid redirects you to Pinterest's login page. After you approve access, Datagrid receives and manages the access token automatically. You do not need to enter a client ID, client secret, or API key manually.

What Pinterest data can I pull into Datagrid?

The integration supports endpoints spanning account analytics, ad performance (campaigns, ad groups, ads), boards and board sections, catalogs and catalog feeds, audiences, customer lists, keywords, conversion tags, and reporting endpoints such as advertiser reports, targeting reports, pin promotion reports, and product group reports.

How far back can I pull Pinterest analytics data?

Pinterest's analytics endpoints enforce a maximum 90-day lookback window, with a 90-day maximum time range per request for non-hourly granularity. When setting up your initial Datagrid dataset, expect analytics data coverage going back up to 90 days from the sync date.
