Magpie 3.0 is a new AI reasoning engine behind Procore AI agents, available in open beta to Procore AI customers through Procore Explore. Like Magpie 2.5, it can work through multi-step analysis, but it has a more direct approach designed to make efficient use of advanced large language models. Magpie 3.0 brings in Procore and connector actions only when the question needs them, which helps keep answers focused when many connections are available.
Company Admins can enroll the whole company or individual projects from Procore Explore in the Company level Admin tool. To enroll, search for “Magpie,” click Details, and then Join Program. Because responses may differ from what your team is used to, consider starting with one project. After your enrollment, expect the following changes and options:
Agents set to Magpie 2.5 (or with no agent model selected) will now run on Magpie 3.0. You don’t need to change any configurations.
In Agents (Auto), agent-style turns use Magpie 3.0.
The ‘Planning Strategy’ field in an agent’s configuration does not apply while the agent runs on Magpie 3.0. Move anything the agent must follow to Custom Instructions.
Agents set to another model, such as Magpie 1.1 Flash, are not changed.
To return to Magpie 2.5, leave the beta program in Procore Explore.
